Out of curiosity and the need for emotional stillness, Rasha tried her first-ever yoga class right here where she’s happy to be teaching today, at Alive Yoga. Funnily enough, she has been pushing away the idea of joining a yoga class for almost a full year before she finally decided to stop procrastinating and subscribed to Alive Yoga’s 2-week membership. Soon after, she had joined their 30-Day Yoga Challenge back in January 2017, and immediately noticed not only how strong her body has become but how that strength was reflected in building her emotional resilience. To Rasha, yoga is a very personal journey and one that has contributed to developing a state of emotional and mental balance, which is why she decided to do her first teacher training in Ashtanga Yoga in April 2018. She has been teaching since June 2018, and is pleased to spread her passion and love for yoga at Alive Yoga. She aspires to become among the first certified yoga psychologists in Kuwait, a niche field that combines the best of two worlds; eastern yoga and western psychology, to help people live a more meaningful, holistic and healthy life.
Farah is a passionate student of the alternative healing methods that elevate a person from a state of unwellness to one of peace and harmony. She is a dentist by profession, Certified Reiki Master, Pranic healer, Arhatic yogi, Certified tarot card reader and Certified Yoga Instructor. Her yoga journey started more than 10 years ago when she did her first traditional yoga class in Cairo, Egypt. She maintained a regular practice and recently felt the need to deepen her understanding and commitment to yoga by taking the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program in Kuwait in 2016. Her aim is for people to experience the many healing benefits that a regular yoga and meditation practice can give to those leading a busy life.
Cami’s true Yoga journey started 2006. She was very stressed at work and her doctor suggested yoga. She did it for 2 weeks and realized that she needed a change, so she resigned and found a more suitable setting for her personality. After only a couple of months, she let her work and friends took over her life and let go of yoga for 4 years. Fall of 2010 when she started taking Bikram Yoga classes, but this time was different. She found her body stiff and the poses she could do with ease 4 years back became challenging. The heat was all she could think about in the beginning but one day she got passed it. It showed her that our bodies really don’t have limitations and that it was more our minds. After completing a 45 Day Yoga Challenge, she began to look inside her. At that time, Cami was working with Special Needs Children in a high school for 5 years as a Teacher Assistant. She saw the positive change in her life and wanted to give the gift to her students, so she did a Kids Yoga Teacher Training in 2011. Yoga was a calling for her. She resigned from her job, created an after-school yoga program for kids and worked in a yoga studio. In early 2013, she joined an Acro and Partner Yoga Therapy Workshop and fell in love with the challenge of letting go and trusting people. In November 2013, she trusted the journey and went to training 3 hours outside Montreal Canada. In 2015, the opportunity to move to Kuwait to teach Yoga came. She gained her certification in Aerial Yoga in 2016 and Sup Yoga in 2017. Her goal is to continue to give people the opportunity to find within happiness, peace and self-love. Cami is now living and teaching Yoga in Kuwait for the past 3 years and she couldn’t imagine herself anywhere else.

Born in the mountains of Lebanon, raised in Kuwait, Wissam is an animal lover, yogi and aspiring outdoorsman. His interest in easter philosophy and meditation started in 2012 after reading one of Osho’s books by mere chance. A year later he experienced his first yoga class whilst on a trekking tour and was immediately hooked to the euphoric climax moment in savasana. Despite finding yoga very painful at the beginning, it helped improve his breathing and deepen his meditation. It also contributed to peeling away layers of ignorance and illusions, and to having more compassion for all beings. Most importantly, Yoga introduced him to a very important person in his life, himself.
His wanderlust kept taking him back to India where he finally received his 200-hour certification at the foot of the Himalayas, in a city known for being the Dalai Lama’s home, Dharamsala.
Wissam’s classes incorporate creative asana sequences both static and dynamic, as well as restorative poses as a way to bring more mindfulness into our practice and our lives, accompanied by the beautiful sounds of the Tibetan singing bowl or Handpan. Do less, Be more.
